I realize this is a pretty vague and ambiguos question but our '00 QX4 has a rattle on the passenger side of the dashboard and it's driving us a little crazy. It's mostly heard only at freeway speeds, though we occasionally hear it at other times. If we put our hand on the dashboard just above the glove box or on the vent, it stops. I'm hesitant to start disassembling the entire dashboard to start looking for this annoying rattle as I'm afraid of inducing other rattles. Experience has taught me that once the dashbaord (or door panel, etc.) is first disassembled from its stock assembly, it's never quite the same. So before I take that leap, I thought I'd drop this question here:

Has anyone else experienced a rattle in this area and, if so, what's the fix?

We otherwise love our QX4. It's a VERY comfortable and capable SUV. Sure wish I had the newer 3.5L V-6, though...

I have a current gen Qx4 and I don't know of the build quality of the newer qx4 compared to the last gen. I did have a previous gen 97 pathfinder and I can tell you you I was having a problem with the glove box/passenger side compartment rattling. I took the truck to the dealer and under warranty they tightened everything, the bolts and the interior trim near the passenger airbags. It could be a number of problems, check with your local infiniti dealer and if your truck is still under warranty, I would have them take a look at it.
