Passenger Axle HELP PLEASE!

Working on a 94 sentra se-r had transmisison out to retap engint mount bolts (they broke off engine/trans shifted forward keep car in gear) I put everything back together and I cant seem to get the passenger axle to go in all the way or possibly a seal? It has a bearing support bracket so it will only go in so far. It only needs another 1/4 inch to push the seal flush with trans output. I have had it out and in a hundred times not sure what to do? It looks like everything is fine but you can still see shiny metal on the end of the axle where it used to be covered. and I can move the metal seal back and forth on the axle when it is flush with the bracket? Any help would be much aprreciated

Do you have the correct axle? Is the axle bent?
