Hi, I am a new g35 owner (05) came from Audi A8 background, this light came on and hasn't gone out, is it a sensor or can you turn this on and off

I'm having the same problem with my Altima 2.5S..I installed racing seats and had to disconnect the seatbelt wires and now the stupid light won't stop blinking. SOmeone help :-(

Is the light in the gauges blinking all the time? I would take your car in to get looked at, you should be covered under basic warranty if it is still applicable.

You removed the seat airbags and the seat belt buckles? Removing or modifying any part of the system will cause a code to set and the system to go into "fail safe" mode meaning it won't work if you need it. Installing a bypassing device or defeating the airbags in modern systems is not advised and could be dangerous.

as for the g35, you cannot turn it on or off, the passenger seat bottom has an occupant classification sensor in it, you may have a fault in the system, is the airbag light lit in the gauge cluster? or just the passenger airbag status light?
