Nope I have My EGR and a Catco 3" CAT. I dont have my second 02 installed so I just reset my CEL right after I pulled into the station.

The only things I did were backed my timing off by 2 and put -5% air across the whole bottem end to lean me out... (I was running 15.5 AFR at idle) Thats one good thing about the E-Manage is I can just screw with it right before the test and drive away fine after.

thats good news. i'll have to run my egr and all that mess. NC has emissions testing too How do you reset the CEL so fast? i thought you had to mess with the ECU by turning a screw on it or something... forgot the details, but it didnt sound like a 5 min affair

I have an OBD2 port... I got a hand scanner for reading codes a long time ago and it resets the codes within 5 sec. The second 02 takes a little while to trigger a code.

You gave me hope Red-Kat, I'm suppose to get my KA-T emissions tested this summer (Snohomish County). Though I think I may just try and get it registered to my grandmas house (Island County).

lucky you!, i still got my STOCK ka with everything stock, and i didn't pass cause some of the side marker lights were DEAD!!!!!!!LMAO.(i didn't have to pay for the testing though, and just got the lights fixed).

i always though leanin the 1000 and 2500 rpm parts would do it, since thats the rpm where they usually test it at.

How did you retain the EGR?

Modified Greddy kit... So all the stock emmision stuff is installed. (Except the second 02 but thats my fault)

It would not be hard to make a downpipe that would keep the EGR. A lot of people take it out. But I dont think it causes much harm if I leave it.

good to hear that u passed. i myself wont b worrying about that since in fl there is no emissions. i probably would fail as i have virtually no emissions things on my car (cat, egr, etc.)

I have to register in another state. The only thing I have installed now is the IACV and the MBC Power Assist Vac Line. The rest go to boost related things.

Oooo, that's an idea. How complicated is it to register the car in another state? I would imagine it is kind of a pain w/ insurance & whatnot.

I do have a sis who is currently in Nevada, but problem with that is I think Nevada has emissions testing too.

***EDIT: o yea, congrats Red-Kat on passing emissions :-D

So I take it Washington doesn't test NOx emissions?

Its easy for me, I'm in the Military, I can switch states of residency just by changing my mind and filling out a form. Then I call the DMV, re-register and they send me plates

Nope Washington doesn't test NOx, but Oregon does. Although outside the metro area doesn't have emissions testing in Oregon. I thought AZ was the same, but I guess not.
