thanksAce2cool wrote:Well, let's get down to basics. How much power are you wanting to make?
that's a. erg good point you made thanks but I trouble shooter everything else and that has to be it and I just want to upgrade my turbos now and get that out of the way I'm just confused on witch turbos to get I want to get a fuhe ll exhuast system to with tShoey2 wrote:make it run properly stock before you start trying to make power, or you will likely be chasing problems after you build it that have nothing to do with the mods you do. best way to build a car is start with the cleanest best running car you can. you can buy just the center secions of the turbo and rebuild them for 500 bucks...thats what i would do. you can make more then enough power for a daily driver on stock turbos with a boost controller, injectors and tune.
I plan on doing the whole exhuast system now with the upgraded turbos.including manifold so I herd a lot of talk about t28 will that've a good choice and have you ever herd of concept z performance that's where I plan on ordering from are there pricess goodNolimitZ32 wrote:Here is the thing: upgraded turbos are great but they perform much better with better mani's and freeer flowing piping and better intercoolers, just this packege not counting the turbos will run you around $2300 ad a set of nice 550BBs or Discos and your out another $2500. It starts to build up rather quickly, it you're ok with just having stock manis and want some fun responsive turbos I'd say go for the 550BBs, all the fun without the lag. Any bigger and you will start having lag. Basically what I am saying is don't think you'll just get away with putting on new turbos, plan yur build and plan it well because when the mod bug bites is a mild fever, but when the Z32 mod bug bites its a lifelong disease.
so what turbos guys? and exhaust system?Ace2cool wrote:CZP is a reputable dealer.
okay well so far im thinking about getting aAce2cool wrote:Exhaust all depends on how much you're looking to spend. Same with the turbos.
GT28RS is the biggest turbo you can fit in the stock location with almost no modification.
Specialty Z makes a full 3 inch turbo back exhaust, but it's expensive. HKS Hiper system is a good catback, but looks like a** in my opinion. The new Z1 3 inch exhaust looks and sounds really cool. You just gotta do research to figure out what it is that YOU want. we can't tell you, "buy these parts because they're best." Every part has its own application.
Really, you need to set goals before you just go chucking parts at a car.

Read that. Most importantly, the part about halfway down, titled "Destroying the World in Your Z32: Tuning Tips"
You really need to do research before you make a decision.
Might as well throw that money in the fireplace. I mean, if you have the money and don't want to do it yourself, by all means. As far as who your mechanic is, does he deal often in Z32's? These are extremely finicky cars, and most mechanics treat them like any other car, which tends to break things. That's why most of us choose to work on our own vehicles. It's cheaper, and you know the work is done right, even if it is harder.Jayjay228 wrote:my mechanic is charging me 1500$
the turbo comes with 3" dpwn pipes and im getting new exhaust systemAce2cool wrote:And are you planning on keeping the stock downpipes and catalytic converters? Cause that's a lot of restriction in itself.
