My Infiniti service department (finally) replaced the recalled passenger airbag on my 2007 M35x. Now, my AC does not work, it does not create cold air. I can set the temp and adjust the fan speed, but I am only getting fresh or recirculated, untreated air. I assume the mechanic performed work behind the glove box. Is there an AC control unit they had to remove to work on the passenger airbag? I'm thinking they forgot to reassemble a module, wire harness or other item that delivers the cold air. I'm bringing it back, of course, but I'm always skeptical when something dies right when I get something else serviced.

Definitely sounds like what you're thinking, they forgot to connect something perhaps.

Not really dug deep into what these were, but I recently removed my dash. (What happened to the good old days when you could replace an airbag without having to flip the dashboard over?)
This is with the camera at the pass front door looking in.

Anyway, I know the blower motor wiring is in the way, but you said that's working. I believe these modules are blend door actuators which might be causing the recirculated air. These aren't necessarily messed with, but the other A/C control unit and switches have to be tampered with when you get the dash out. Can you manually force it between recirculated air and outside air?
Also, I assume the numbers change when you decrease/increase the temperature, right?

Good Lord, that's a lot of crazy going on under there! Today was 72F outside and I was unable to drive 4 miles without needing the windows open. Clearly, there is no cold air. Something must be disconnected. Yes, I can switch the button/indicator light between Fresh and Recirculated. Yes, the temperature setting numbers go up / down in single and dual modes. I can manually change the blower fan speed- the fan responds manually. Setting the temp to 60F when it is fairly warm in the car does not create a change in air temp, no change in fan speed (stays on low). It seems that the dash controls are not making any effect on turning the AC "on" manually, nor does the Auto settings cause a change.
