Hey guys. Today's already off to a bad start. Woke up at 6am to find some a$$hole lying down behind my car stealing my exhaust. He got away in a white accord sedan with the euro tail lights and his buddies were in a red cl. Fake plates and what not, but yeah now I'm in the crapper since my insurance is 1way and might not cover it and now my car's just got a 3" pipe hanging off it. So I guess if you're in the San Francisco bay area, let me know if someone's trying to sell a N1 styled exhaust with no additional markings on it. It'd be easier to spot if it had said GP Sports on it, but no such luck with that.

Nah, you don't need jackstands to do it. The way those bastards did it was through cutting off the rubber hangers and undoing the two bolts that held the 2 exhaust pieces together. It never occured to me to have the two pieces welded together. I doubt the cops will find the pricks either since they're using fake plates. Only real lead I've got is that the red car was another accord but the coupe and I don't see too many around here with an exhaust.

So basically, it comes down to find the red accord coupe and then it's payback time. Until then, I can only hope that karma kicks em a swift one in the pants via fatal car accident until then. Looks like I'll be going from GP to Apexi now since that's the one I can get pretty readily fairly soon. I've been told about a week for 425 at my door.

when the cops pull you over, your car is getting impounded if the vin is off...they will assume the motor/car is stolen

That sucks *** dude. I know how you feel. While my car was in a friends garage tore apart and being prepped for paint, some ***hole broke in and stole some parts for my car. The problem is that at that time the town I lived in at the time was very small and I was the only one with an s14. Turned out to be a crackhead who tried to sell them around town to my friends....needless to say he got busted fairly quick.

My father in law owned a Cadillac and the big thing out here was to steal the front bumpers.

The solution was to weld the nuts to the tabs. I think I will be doing the same with my exhaust.

Oh and my civic was stolen twice last year. Give the police the heads up. There is someone out there hurting because those skumbags are making a quick buck.

dunno what to say man. Since this incident, I don't really trust strangers near my car either. My buddy who's garage we use to do all our car work has been a bit paranoid as well since we've got quite a few engines and parts in there as well as motorcycles. I guess it's just a bit of the times. I've found the prick with the red accord already. I'm gonna let things cool down a bit before I unleash the wrath of loctite red upon him.
