Im thinking on my options here so im looking to get information on

reliability of parts that are used in a ka-t setup

in other words good brand names to stick to reputable companys to deal with proven reliable setups for around 250 to 300 hp i have a 89 240 coupe shell and am going to be getting a ka24de from a friend five speed ftw the car is currently a auto though but im allready halfway thru the swap on that so yeah any help would be greatly appreciated

Welcome to the land of sweet turboey goodness.Buy quality parts. And by that I mean you would be better off buying a used high quality component than a new pos. Garret turbo, deastchwerks injectors, ecu from enthalpy, JWT, or emance.Manifold from ebay (there are actually some good ones for cheap).Oil lines from JGS. Intercooler from ebay, etc.You get the point. A t3/4 set up will let you hit 300hp fairly easy. For a cheap but really fun street car get a t25 from an sr. Really great response just won't make more than @ 230-250hp.Good luck, and read the stickies up top for tons of great info.

If you're going to turbo, stay away from the "turbo kits" on ebay.

See my sig for parts.
