I have seen these from 90-96 and there are differences internally and externally on some of these. Some have a solid bellhousing. Some have the holes cut in the bellhousing to access the converter. Some have the small fluid cooler at the front base of the trans pan. Some have drain plugs from the factory and some do not. 95-96 models has a totally different bellhousing with vented slots for cooling and when taking apart the bellhousing the shaft remains attached to the bellhousing instead of staying attached to the transbody. Also has different style starter housings so U can't just bolt just any starter up to any trans.90-94 starters with gear reduction and 95-96 are the same. This helps U also if U know that 90-94 starters are the same which tells U that the bellhousings are the same also and the same for 95-96 same starter ssame bellhousing.The_Pretender wrote:got a guy needs a transmission. would an auto trans from a 95 be compatible with a 92? if not anyone in the georgia area got a trans for a 92 theyd sell?
