AFR gauge is useless unless it's a wideband, which would be overkill to use all the time. Oil press, oil temp, and EGT are more useful.
I'd try to put together an inlet pipe. Just needs a few bungs on it for the crankcase breather (which preferably has a catchcan on it) and the recirc line. Definitely a better setup than the plastic tube.
I'd go for a JWT-tuned SE-R ECU or a Calum daughterboard setup instead of the stock U13 ECU.
