Hey All-I just wanted to let everyone know that we are trying our best to get the parts diagrams back on our new site. Some of you may recall that we had many illustrations loaded on our former site, Infiniti Parts USA.com. Many have told me that those were very helpful when it came to finding what they needed & doing their own replacement work. Here is a link:Parts diagram catalog

Check it out & give suggestions, also please let us know what other sections you would like to see. I know there is currently only the J & the Q (1st gen.) but we are working to get all of the models some server space.

Cheers!-Joe

Joe, an improvement, but not as good as the original diagrams on the trade motion site where you could highlight the part and its number and price would populate the parts list.

Anyway, I vote for the FY33 (1997-2001 Q45) next.

Great job Joe (Shaye-NYC). How about knock sensors and all the under plenum/vacuum hoses. I have to call you about that on wednesday. Thanks for the prompt shipping!

Sweet Wes thanks. I bought the sensors already. I remember you said you sell KS. Are these factory? How much again? My mechanic says it takes all day which is bull. If the dealer and some guys here can do it in two hours why can't he?

Two hours...to replace the knock sensors? No way no how. *Maybe* 2 hours for a spark plug job with enough experience. Any independent will need extra time than a dealer probably...experience and familiarity do count.

2 hours would be pushing it after the plenum is off!!! That is not including tool throwing and misc tantrum time that MUST be factored into the KS replacement....

My KS are $100 each.. Shipping included.. Nissan pn 22060-300P0

The dealer is the one who quoted 2 hours! Is that propoganda for me to spend money on something else? Have you ever done the job without breaking every vacuum hose in sight?!

And they qouted $180. It sounds too good to be true but it's their words not mine. I don't trust the dealer but I want this thing done right.

Get it in writing. I suspect there's some miscommunication going on, if not something else. Are you near Keith Vanmeter by any chance? The hoses are simply not worth the effort or risk of trying to save. Whichever hose comes off must be replaced, and it's a good idea to replace all the ones you can reach while you're in there.

He's a little far if I remember the address in Jersey right. I'll look into it. Yeah , I think the service department is pulling my leg. I was planning to replace all the hose but the mechanic said to get all of the hoses in that area only (vacuum hoses etc). I'll just reach into my pocket for the hoses.
