Hi everybody. I'm new to the site so i'll introduce myself here. I'm from around charlotte nc, and i've been messing with a car all my life pretty much, but only recently i got tired of my inbetween car(91 integra) and acuired a 92 240sx coupe. I originally bought it just because it was rear wheel drive and there for more fun to play with, then i found out what potential it had and now i'm quite a fan. Anywho, I'll get to the point. It's an automatic. that sux. and i want to change it over. To compound that,I was at a local performance shop inquiring about using a lift and the guy offered me a job there if i was any good when i did my swap. So i kina need the parts pretty quick. Oh and did i mention i'm not exactly rich? Anybody just happen to know where i can find the parts or a wrecked parts car pretty cheap?

Well your best bet is to just keep checking the "for sale" boards, or go to local junk yards

Automatics arent that bad (especially if you've never owned a manual, nor know how to drive one 100% just yet )

To people who've always driven manuals, driving an automatic doesn't even feel like driving. It feels like a videogame, just like it's not quite real.

Anyway, congrats on the S13 purchase.

Junkyards can be expensive for entire parts cars. If you go on ebay or craigslist you can sometimes find super beat-up S13s that people are willing to part with for a few hundred bucks. Generally they don't run for that kind of money though.

Yeah, I didnt mean get a whole parts car from the junkyard, that'd be ludicrous...just parts only.

does anybody know if the 91 and down/ 92 up transmissions are differant? I would imagine that thier both being 2.4s would give them the same flywheel back equipment. Just thought this would be handy info if i'm buying parts cars.
