Hey guys, looking for the cheapest place to buy replacement hood struts and misting wiper fluid nozzles for my new (used) FGY33 (thank you maxnix).

I had some success replacing the silly 2 stream spray nozzles in my 1999 Toyota avalon, the parts were from a later model Corolla, and they fit the hood cutout perfectly, but just required minor modification underhood to get the hoses to fit, because the inlet was perpendicular to the length of the nozzle. Anyone know of any later model sentras, altimas, or trucks that use the same general shape of nozzle but with misting action???

For the FGY33 hood struts, you need the Sachs Strong Arm 6317

Washer nozples are never replaced, just cleaned. Aimed with a pin in the nozzle hole.

Whoa whoa!!! Thanks for the product info guy, but I'm not made of money like you might be... remember, I said CHEAPEST place... I like to help people out by scouring every corner of the web for the best quality at rock bottom prices...here you go:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/370630463310?ss ... 1439.l2649

as for the windshield wiper nozzles.... I'll find something that works, I already took mine out and I'm close to finding a match with a newer model maxima that has mist action. Some people like OEM on a car whose OEM parts availability days might be numbered.... others, like me, like to improvise. To each his own, I guess.

Guess what? In today's dollars, your car is a $84K car. You don't get any discount on parts or labor because of its age. Learn to live that fact or lose it quickly.

If you spend enough at AutoZone thet send you coupons, they pay for oil changes and the like.Craigslist has many mechanics charging half what a shop does, many certified.Mine charges $40 n hour, really came in handy on that plennum job or old girl still be sitting.

you often get what you pay for especially with the hood shocks. I put set onto the liftgate of my 300zx off eBay and 3 years later the thing was falling on my head again. Next time ordered ones 2x more expensive and it is NIGHT and DAY. $35 bucks more is like a small super market run, not a big deal for a good quality fix.

That's true, some stuff is not good off ebay, but more and more of the reputable online vendors are also starting to sell on Ebay because they can reach a broader market, and in this case...I found the exact same brand that the manix guy had suggested...some resellers have more overhead, and want the customer to pay for it, but do higher prices mean better quality??? (you know the answer to that) .... in the end it just comes down to a combination of "buyer beware" and trial and error....
I'll let you know in this post how this particular pair "HOLD UP" (pardon the pun).
