I am sellin my wonderful s13:(. I cant have it be my project car an dailey driver, an I need somethin more reliable so Im gonna sell it. Use the money to put a down payment on a new car. An I got my eye on a '03 Spec V. I know its fwd but i think ill manage with the 2.5L haha. No replacement for displacement. Plus with a few mods it should be fairly quick. Ill miss my lil S13 I had big plans for it.

Sorry about you having to give up the 240 but I have to ask 'cuz this has been bothering me for quite a while about alot of kids on the boards - Where do you guys get the money to fund such projects much less buying a brand new (almost) car?!

You're like what? 17/18? What do all you young guys do that offer the financial support for 5k+ swaps and projects and new cars? I'm only 19 myself and I make pretty good money, more than all my friends I have nowhere near enough money to pay for a new car, insurance, gas, food, fun expenses, and somehwere to live? I know at your age you probabaly still live at home but even then, most of these projects are quite costly. Does Daddy fund alot of junior's fun? *jealous*

Sorry, just wondering. Somebody please help me out here...do all you kids pay for everything yourselves? And what on earth do you do to fund such undertakings?!

:D

Heh, well, I pay for everything myself, aside from what I get for Christmas and birthdays, and I certainly don't find SR20DET's sitting under the tree every Christmas. ;-)

This would explain why, aside from my stereo, and an engine rebuilt out of necessity (dumb previous owner), the car is completely stock, though still fun. :-) Oh, and still being paid off . . .

No I bout the s13 fairly cheap, an just dumped every paycheck into it. And for the new car Ill be making monthly payments. I wish my parents would buy me a car or finance a project car hehe. But I need a reliable car an I cant have my dailey driver down for a couple days every now an then while its in the shop. An my only costs will be insurance an car payment. An for the most part on fundin such projects pretty much everyone I know takes outs loans.

It's as easy as 1,2,3.

1)Sign your sole over to Satan (i.e. Join the Military for a fat enlistment bonus)

2)Stop doing anything that requires money as the military will give you barely enough to survive (Soap and clothing not included).

3)Give away the most expensive stuff that you love less than your car (siblings, a testicle, old broke down Honda Prelude) and use that "oppurtunity" as a tax write off

:)Happy tax return to all and to all a good night:ylsuper

One human testicle (I hear) donated for the purpose of science might supposedly yield a value of 250,000 dollars. Of course I only heard this from a friend and haven't look into it seeing as how I like both of my power plants. And as for the clothing voucher, its nice to have that little extra bit when it comes time for filling the gas tank, but it really isn't enough at all.

Am I though? Am I really? Two years ago if I had read what I posted, I would probably have agreed with you whole heartedly...

Anyway........I think that generally a lot of us bust some serious @$s to fund our projects. I know that as a college student, the only way I can save up enough for parts is to work 40 plus hours a week during Christmas break and summer. Two jobs last summer for that 16 hour a day bull****. A couple hand-outs every now and then would be nice, but I live in reality..........
