Parting Out

Hey all. It's been a while since I've been to the forum, let alone posted. During this past weekend I began to tear down my '85 300Z because when I was on my way home from work Thursday (the 3rd) the brake pedal went straight to the floor as I was slowing down. I pumped the brake a few times, and the pressure came back. Luckily I have a manual, so I could slow down by down shifting, but each time I went to brake I had to pump it a few times. I decided that it was time just to overhaul the car, and started tearing it apart on the 4th. Today, however I found out that I am being "involuntarily cross-leveled" to another National Guard unit for deployment; I leave in September. At this point I just don't have the time to put into finishing what I started, so I just decided that I would part out the car, and whatever is left of it by September 24th will go the Nissan graveyard for someone else to find as a treasure.

About the car...The odometer reads just over 255,000 miles. I am a very honest person (one of my downfalls), and will tell you that when I pulled the spark plugs all 6 of them were fouled with a white ashy look. I had replaced the alternator in November, so if anyone needs one of those I can almost guarantee that you will receive a fairly decent one. The car was barely run between December and March due to the weather here in Ohio. I'm getting a new camera soon, so if you're interested in a part let me know, I'll take a picture of it, and you make a bid. I plan on trying to get rid of some things on E-Bay, so start checking there in a week or so.

Also, if anyone is interested there is a black '89 300ZX in Middletown, Ohio. I stopped and checked it out one day, and the body is in very good condition. I saw about 2-3 minor rust spots. It's an automatic, and has fog lights. Don't know the price because it wasn't listed on the car anywhere. Just wanted to let you all know.

Just an update. Number 1: The black 300 described above was sold the other day. Number 2: It was in Franklin, OH...not Middletown, OH. My bad. The towns run together as I drive through them every morning and evening.
