I might be interested in the climate control unit. I've always wanted to try to retrofit one into the 90-93, but since it's an experiment I don't want to drop too much cash on one.

Rixkix,

I need the local control module, in the left rear door. It controls the window and door lock mechanism. I can send you some pictures. Email me.

[email protected]

(I am in San Francisco, today ( I am staying at the Marriott courtyard, right off the 101, about 2.5 miles from the airport), heading towards LA, tomorrow, and will be staying with family tomorrow, and Thursday nights, then on to Las Vegas.

If you are in the area, or on my way, I will stop by, and get the parts, myself.

Thanks!

Not really something you want to buy used. When it fails (and it will be sooner than a new one), everything has to come off again.

How much for the TCU? It's located under the left kick panel on the driver's side.

Qship - $50 for the TCU? I have no idea what they cost on the Q, but it was ridiculous on my Mark VIII

hybred510 - Do you need the ECU or just the harness, just wanted to clarify.

1qckster - I'll go over and take a look at it today

Rex - I have the tools to get the wheel out, that shoudn't be a problem, I'll post a bigger pic a little later and you can let me know if you're interested

I'll pass on both. I found out that even a JWT modifed tcu might not work in a 91.

Pre 1996 is OBD I, 1996 and after is OBD II.

Not interchangeable by any stretch of the imagination.

Are they different because of the deletion of variable valve timing on the 1996 model?

The deletion of VVT is secondary to the implementation of OBD II. Completely different computers and more sensors.

Depends on how big the harness is. Is it really big, or does it just go to another connector? I don't want to tear it apart too much until you're sure. Do you want me to take off the connector on the ecm/ecu and take a picture of it to see if it will at least be physically compatible? I was thinking $50-60 if you want to try.

Sounds like it would be a major hassle to rewire and add the sensors, if it's even possible.

i have never taken a harness from a q45 but i have done 6 from a 300 zx and a 300zx turbo i left it connected to the ecu and traced it into the engine compartment and disconected the connections from the engine and then pulled it through the firewall and took it out i was not keeping the cars so i could enlarge the firewall hole to pull the harness through

hybred510 - I've taken some pictures of the service manual and posted them on the member's rides forum. Maybe it can help tell you if it will work for you.

Rex - Pictures of the steering wheel and ashtray are up now too. THe steering wheel DOES have damage I hadn't noticed before on the right side. The ashtray top part is cracked . I hadn't noticed until I removed it. You have to look at the big picture of just the ashtray to see it. And the switches will be included. $150 for everything if you're still interested?

:(, even though the parts are in "good" condition I was hoping to replace my pieces with parts in better condition and these are not "noticably" better, so thanks for your efforts, but I will pass. Sorry for the troubles and thanks for taking the additional pictures.

I would be interested in the gas tank and the drivers side door panel if it is in good condition. I have a black 1996 q45t and would think they would be interchangable. You can email me at [email protected]

Sorry to hear about your car. I would be interested in the floor mats, if they are in good condition. I'm also interested in the driver door panel, if it's in good condition and still available. I live in Los Angeles and am not sure exactly where you are, but maybe it's not too far to pick up.

Please let me know when you have a chance. Thanks.

The driver's side floor mat does have some wear on it. The door panel looks good, but I've sold the switches from it.

I'm interested in...1. Right fog light. (don't care about the lense, I just need the backing). I also need that little round plastic retainer that the fog light fits into.2. Both vanity mirrors (don't care about the mirrors themselves, bulbs, or light diffusers; i just need the plastic casing to be intact)3. Hub cap (i need one from the gold quisi-wireframe wheels)4. Fuel pump, if it doesn't sound like a flock of angry bumblebees.5. Power antenna (and motor)6. Astray from rear driver-side door (i think they're the same on both sides though)

I think that's all for now. Thanks.

Adendum:I just reallized that the fogs are supposed to have little reflector pieces on the insides. I'd like those too if you have 'em.

MrSag - 1. Fog lights are out of commission. 2. Both visors are in good shape3. I have the pie-pan wheels, not gold or wireframe.4. Engine parts I'll be taking out last since I'm going to have to move the vehicle from it's present location.5. Power antenna was vandalized. It no longer works.6. I just broke the one ashtray you needed while removing a part from the rear door. So, I guess we're down to the visors for the moment. $60 shipped for both?
