Well Fellas,The time has come to move on from the G50. I sold my 1994 Q45a early last year, and my 1994 Standard was vandalized and considered to be a "Total Loss" from my insurance company. Now it's time to move on to another passion I guess. I used to hate reading these posts because it seemed like G50 owners/enthusiasts are a dying breed. I've gotten to be so spoiled by the G50, that no other car would replace the love that I have for that model car... but times are dictating that I move on.I have an empty feeling in the pit of my stomach, but this pill has to be swallowed, no matter how difficult it is for me to do so. I've made some great friends for life on this forum, and will check in from time to time because this is the BEST automotive forum I have ever witnessed.

Bidding Adieu,Evan (EQwhipD) from NC

Sorry to hear that. So you could not work it out with the insurance co?

When you say "parting" do you mean you're parting away from the car or, are you parting the car out for us all here?

I don't even know what I'd want from it, other than the stuff to fix my electrical issues.

At any rate it's a sad day, however we'll look for you here from time to time.

Yeah...I was just playing on a line from Romeo and Juliet about the parting in such sweet sorrow. I do have 2 remote fobs (both with working batteries), front wheel bearing (BRAND NEW), and a perect condition FSM if anyone is interested. I really did love my car so much, and almost fainted when they told me it was a total loss. I couldn't work anything out my adjuster (incompetent), and we hve been battling for the past week. We finally settled for $3700 and the car had 267k miles on it. His first offer was $2k, where I told him that he just insulted me, and advised him to look at comp's in 200 mile radius. He called back with $3600 offer 10 min later, and I told him that I would take 3700.Now I am driving a POS Jeep Liberty rental which makes a thumping sound in the front right passenger's side, handles horribly, cats smell and mysterious gas smell from time to time. Oh how I miss my G50 princess!I will still check in daily and offer my expertise or opinion. I'm still a NICO man because I've got a little Nissan family surprise for you early next week.Wes knows exaclty what I am talking about (ssshhh).

For $3700, you could totally get another G50. I paid $3500 ofr my '92 with 83k.

Or, that $3700 could be put on as a down payment on a 97-01 Q45.

Don't leave us.

Sorry to hear that man. Keep your eye out for another, I got my second 94 Q from a fellow NICO member for $4200 in PRISTINE condition with 85K miles. There are some jewels in the rough. LOLVandi.

How much was the buy-back on the Q? From what I remember your damage was a window and some interior components? I still think it would be fairly affordable to fix her with the correct donor car if you're interested...

Get out of that Jeep Liberty. There have been a ton of accidents & deaths due to failed front ball joints and that sounds exactly like what is going on with your rental!!!"

Sorry to hear about your Q but $3,700 is darn good monies for a car with 260,000+ miles.

So Wes...am I still a Q owner? I have not seen Rex post in a while...then again I have not been here in a long while either. I was bored today checking around on the net to see how you all were doing. I love hearing about both Q45 turbo projects...that is awesome and I looking forward so hearing how they do at the 1/4 mile track.

I honestly don't want another car, unless it's a Q. (When talking sedans.) However, I have always wanted a W140 S-Class Benz. I wanted to have a black on black with dark tints and have two small Haitian flags on the front fenders ala Presidential Motorcade.

I fell in love with the E39 7-Series BMW in '95 when I first saw Tomorrow Never Dies.

My dream line up would be to have all 3 in my driveway. But unless I find one now for dirt cheap, and in good condition (requiring little extra maintenance) (highly unlikely), I'm going to keep driving my Q and purchasing and fixing others. I have plenty of time to get the other cars. I'd love to have this trio of cars in showroom condition and have people be amazed at the age of them.

Til' then, I'll keep smoking people in the Q and dreaming.

I'm still around, I just post less and less in the Q45 sub-forum.

So do I, or Da Beast which is kind of the same thing. I think it's only fitting since he "built" the car.

Rob - I'm currently driving a 96 240sx and will break out the Miata with the weather turns nice. Da Beast sees regular use.

I'm secretly looking for a GREAT deal on a 98 (or newer) SC400. It's cheaper than swapping the VH into the 240.

glad to hear like things are going great for you all. I certainly due miss the raw power & look of my old car...DaBeast. Nobody with a $50,000+ new sedan or sport coupe would even try to cut infront of me in traffic. There will be nothing like running that sucker up to 7,300rpms without blinking an eye that she can't do it over and over again.

Cheers guys and can't wait to hear more about the turbo Q45's and also the SC400...that is certainly a very nice ride.
