I want to part our my 240SX including the wheels.

Will the junk yard tow truck be able to tow my 240SX without the 4 wheels? Do you know how do they do that? Will that scratch the garage driveway surface?

Thanks!

Can't they just tow it there with the wheels, roll it into your garage, put it on jackstands, then take the wheels off if you don't want em?

Sorry about the confusion.

Basically, I want to part out my car as much as possible including parting out the suspension parts and wheels. I will put my part car on 4 jack stands.

And then, I want to sell my part car to junk yard. They will tow my part car to their junk yard with their tow truck.

My question was will the tow truck driver be able to load my part car (or bare car frame) on the tow truck without damaging my garage driveway surface.

Thanks.

He CAN load it, he probably wont though. It'd scratch up the bed of his truck, and its not super safe either. And yes obviously its going to ruin your driveway if he's dragging it by the frame....

They can do it. Go on craigslist and find a post looking for junk cars. You can get like 50 bucks for a bare shell and they remove it for you. He will just drag it up onto his rollback. It will scratch your driveway. Part it out in your lawn if you want to save your driveway, its easy to repair grass.

I parted an s14 down to pretty well nothing in my garage. I just cut the car into pieces me and a friend could carry. Cut of top then cut firewall back off and it was managable but heavy. The subframes and glass are heavy once it is down to unibody it isn't so bad. have fun and the thin metal sawzall blades cut right through that metal.

How much money did you get for selling your car shell to the junk yard?

junkmycar.com offers $35 for my car shell.

Thanks!
