Ok so this is part of my battery relocation.

When I first did my swap I wrapped the 3 white wires, the alternator power, and the 4gauge wire together with a hose fastener then wrapped it with electrical tape. It worked but it was ugly.

So while my engine is out for a rebuild I decided to clean up some wiring.

on the left you see a silver wire. It is soldered to the 3 white wires from the harness. The alternator power will connect on the left as well. On the right you see the blue 4 gauge wire that runs to the positive terminal on my battery.

The silver 10mm bolt is obviously grounded to the chassis. So my question is this:Do you think that this set up has the potential to short out? Either during a rainy day or while washing the car/ engine bay. the gap between the distribution block and the bolt is only a few millimeters.

k cool. I am going to add a fuse though. probly on either side of my harness. One to save the battery and one to save the harness.

i would do a breaker instead of a fuse. there cleaner imo and easier to shut the battery off without dissconecting anything

something like :
