If I can recall, the silicon hose provided with the JGS oil return line kit is a -10an hose. The hose itself fits onto a straight fitting that directly screwed into the bung that was intended to be welded onto the oil pan itself. Does anyone know these specific parts and a website in which I can order the oil pan bung and the fitting that screws into it? JGS didn't seem to be as much help since they were really pushing that I just buy another replacement kit from them, lol.

Hrm, I don't have access to a welder, so I think I might braze a brass piece directly onto the steel pan. It shoudl hold up to about 1000 degrees.

Sure you can braze it onto the pan, works fine. Thats how i did my first pan.

JGS sells the bung by itself and you can buy the barbed fitting for it from McMaster-Carr.

I was even thinking about just buying the straight brass fitting, and cutting it to make a flat surface that I can put flush with the pan, or maybe at a slight angle to account for the inward pan slope.

Lol, I just gotta brush up on my brazing skills, I haven't even had to hold a propane torch since about January. I made a pressure bleeder for my friend's Porsche 944 and it took some clever planning and execution, but it worked out even better than some of the pressure bleeders that I have seen for over 100 bucks!
