part number help

My A/C went out and the shop I took it to said the A/C compressor is bad and showed me it doesn't work. He said he could sell me a new one for $500 plus labor, or I could bring one in and he'll charge $200 for labor. I can't seem to find a part number for it though. I checked courtesy parts but I always have trouble finding what I'm looking for there. Does anyone know of the part number? and does it commonly go out?

ok I found it on courtesy parts and it's $470 for the A/C compressor plus $130 for the A/C compressor clutch. The $500 price the shop gave me included the clutch.

parts.nissanusa.com - with your vin you can find your AC compressor. I would not suggest using an aftermarket AC compressor. I've seen way to many fail for me to trust them. That an most dealers wont warranty labor on aftermarket parts. Good luck in your search.
