My fuel gauge does not work correctly and it has been determined that the problem is the AC Amp. When I look up the part number I see that it should be 27760-1NN3A. The part seems impossible to find and ridiculously expensive even if I did find it. The Infiniti parts web site says that this part number replaces 27760-1NM7B. Which I did find a used one on ebay. I know this is probably a stupid question but can I buy the older part number and have it work without any issues?

There's also a -1NM7D, they're all just supersessions and any part number in the chain should work fine.

Cool. Thanks. I thought so but wanted to double check.

I replaced the ac amp. Though the part number for the original was not any of the part numbers I had seen while researching it. The original part number in the car is 27760-1NY5B. I did still install the part that I had bought - 27760-1NM7B. Is this ok? I do have one small issue that occurred after the installation. But I'm not sure if it is related to the part. The convertible top doesn't work on this car because one of the convertible hinges in the trunk is broken. The car now keeps beeping and the windows stay down a little bit. Which all seems related to the convertible top. Could this just be from something getting reset since I had the battery disconnected or is the replacement ac amp possibly not compatible with G37 Convertible model?

Didn't know it was vert, that does show up as a different part. That does look like the right number for a '12 vert. I doubt there are any hardware incompatibilities, but the firmware is a different story. The vert HVAC's do talk to the Top C/U because of the rear defogger, so while I'm not sure exactly what all the differences would be, you can be certain there are some.
