part ID what is this?

its located under the front of the carb. just wondering what it is, it's importance?

i took it off the truck seems to run fine it actually kinda solve a problem i was having with the truck sputtering after i shut it off..

It sometimes causes post ignition depending on your timimg. And yes its a smog requirement as it recirculates fumes back into the manifold.

yeah... having it gone causes a little bit of 'popping' for me on decel (completely off the gas) around the 1,250-1,500 RPM range... if i throw it in neutral before before 1,500 its all good tho

no different then those damn SRT-4's
