Yesterday I discovered that my car had been leaking a substantial amount of motor oil. I went under the car to take a look and couldn't find anything obvious. I put oil in, considering it was low. Turned it on and looked for the leak. I found the leak coming from what looks like an O2 senor directly underneath the oil filter. I doubt it's an 02 sensor, but can't can't seem to find on the diagram from Courtesy Nissan. Anyone know what the part is?

Thanks is Advance!

It sure is the Oil Pressure Sending Unit. Thanks. Will have to make sure it's tightened properly.

They also have an internal seal that likes to go bad. A new unit is only 20 bucks or so. Just buy a new one and be done with it. Make sure to teflon tape the threads.

It was the inner seal that gave out. Picked up another unit and replaced it. Not fun, since there was very little room to work in. But, it's done! Thanks a lot, guys!

I hate doing that job when the motor's in the car. At least on the SR, the sensor is on the other side of the filter from the KA and you can get at it by removing the starter and the intake's support bracket.
