i got my car back from phase2 yesterday, they don't have apexi in stock so they throw on a greddy one. It looks spongy... and I remember there was a filtration test that suggest to steer away from these kind of filters.

S13 and S14 are identical except the S14 doesn't have a hole in the adapter for the EGR or whatever it is so you don't have to plug it when you do the swap. I am running the S14 Apexi on my redtop.

all apex-i filters look like that, thats JUST the filter. you'll still need the adapter for it to bolt to your MAF pattern.-chet

Just call any authorized dealer on the A'PEX website and tell them you need an intake kit for the S13. You dont really need the P/N.

If it's metal then it's an S13 maf, if it's a big plastic one then it's a Z32 maf.

so far I found out that it's going to be 507-n004 for the part number, this is spefically for the sr20det swap done on 91 to 93...don't know why

so if I were to upgrade to z32 maf, which filter would I use?

Actually. If your going to convert to Z32, you should just buy the "Super Suction Kit" from Apex. It comes with the adapter pipe to convert your MAF to the the 80mm Z32. It also comes with the adapter clip to plug into the MAF itself. AND it also comes with the filter. So your good to go with everything except the MAF itself.
