See exploded parts view here. Scroll down to 2001 V & W, at the left middle there is a 96997 HARNESS ASSY-LAMP. Where exactly is this? The exploded parts diagram doesn't seem to tell where it goes.

Is this your box? Maybe inside to light it up, don't really know, that is a lousy blowup but common sense says inside the enclosure.

Yeah, looks like all console boxes have this weird light. I've never seen it and I don't see it or a spot in my console box, unless I'm simply blind. Do you have one?

It's on the RIGHT middle, and on all the models on that page. Maybe it's LE only?

Can't find it on my '03 SE. Would be nice to have even a dim light in there at night.
