so we are all familier with the junk stock shifter that nissan provided us

well it wasnt doing it for me sooooooo i went with a new one from cosmic racing. its a nasty little short throw shifter. only problem was it hit the stock trim plate so i had to use some 1" conduit about 3' long to bend it a half inch back. then i rolled the stock boot back on itself and glued it so i could see the chrome and added the shift knob from my old racecar camaro. still an american gearhead at hart lol

you do know that short throw shifter means the throw of the shifter between gears not the lenth of the shaft.

nope just brought home a 3' piece of 1" conduit from work. i tapped up the threads so they didn get messed up then slipped the pipe over and used my foot as a brace. bent it back and no problems. does help im an ironworker and bend steel by hand on almost a daily basis. still i love the way it shifts now.
