parking lights and fog lights

Hello everyone I am new to this site and am wandering if anyone knows how to make the fog light run with the parking light on a 96 240 sx se without the headlights being on. I know this is a kinda weird question but it something I want to be able to do. Thanks for the help.

I did this on my S-13 Hatch...

Get a relay kit for the fog lights.

Positive power [+ side] for the FOG lights comes straight off the battery, thru the switch portion of the relay and to the lights. Ground [- side] of the lights goes to the frame of the car.

The power for the RELAY comes from tapping into one of the parking light power wires. Tap the wire going to the lights...the postive side goes to one side of the relay coil, the negitive side goes to the frame of the car.

BLING!

Turn on the parking lights and the fog lights come on....works like a champ....

If you also want a switch in the ****pit, you would put it inline between the realy coil incoming power from the parking light circuit, but I didn't do that...no switch for me.

Be sure to use a relay [12 VDC 30 AMP] or you will somke your parking light fuse in a hurry, and fuse the power line to the lights also.

are you sure s13 and s14 foglight/parking light wiring are the same? the s14 foglights are wired directly to the headlights. i want to do this too and i just want to make sure thier the same beforehand.

I am running Pilot Fog Lamps

I wired them in that way.

As for the factory S-14 lights...You could do it, you would just need to interrupt the power signal that probably runs off the headlamp circiut and move it to the parking light circuit....
