Hi All,

I've spent the last several days installing power locks and a basic alarm on my 2010 1.8 S hatchback.

I have everything up and running except for:

a) parking lightsb) domelight illumination (I believe this will require a relay which I purchased)

Does anyone know where I can find the wires that will feed these two items?

Thanks in advance

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------technical information below about the parking lights.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

as an aside: I bought the service manual and I've been trying to decipher the wiring diagram. Unfortunately, this manual isn't the easiest to read.

(As far as I understand, there are 5 wires that lead from the steering wheel controls to the BCM. The 5th wire looks like the one I want, but according to the specs, it requires a specific voltage pattern for the BCM to interpret properly. The BCM then tells the IPDM E/R to illuminate the tail lamp coil. This coil then powers up all the parking lights. I'm not sure where I need to wire:

a) the wire between the steering column to the BCM? I'm hesitant to do this because the alarm will output 12V (+) on the wire. I don't know if that portion of the BCM will handle that or not (the specs show that the BCM is only expecting 6V from the steering column wires).

b) the wire between IPDM E/R to the tail lamp coil? I couldn't figure out where this might be.

Parking lights in the Versa will be a positive trigger. It will be a gray wire in the drivers side harness to rear. So in the kick panel/sill plate area.

Dome supervision is a negative trigger, so you probably won't need a relay.... depends on if the system you are using has a strong enough negative output for the dome supervision. DEI products usually are good to go. This wire is found in the passenger A-pillar. It will change from a light green to brown wire.

Thank you very much. Those two wires did the trick!

When I replace my speakers I'll take pictures of my powerlocks installation and writeup a little guide. It sure was a lot harder than I thought it would be.
