I had an idea to turn the "turn signals" white and have them function as parking lights, then have the "parking lights" function as turn signals, only coming on when I activate my turn signal. Should be as simple as changing the bulbs and swapping a couple of wires. Has this been done before? What do you guys think?

I wanted to mess with my head and tail lights, too. I had some ideas involving LEDs from Diode Dynamics... The turn signal you referring to had yellow cover. Even if you replace the the bulb with a white one, you will not get a pure white light. Back in the day, I have seen people "bleach" the plastic to remove the colour, but have no memory how did they do it and if it was successful. Turning the parking light into a turn signal should not be a tough business.

But again.. don't you thing that by only replacing the turn signal bulb will not be enough in order to achieve what you have in mind?

I'm not sure you understand what I'm saying. I'm talking about switching the pos wire on the turn signal with the pos wire on the parking light, then putting a white LED bulb in place of the amber one in what is currently the turn signal. If everything works right, the current turn signal will fuction as the parking light and will stay on constantly (with a white bulb). What is currently the parking light function as a turn signal, and will flash when using hazards or turn signals. (I'm assuming both the turn signal and the parking lot are only functioning on two wires each, since the parking lights are constantly on and the turn signals only come on when they're being used).
