One of my friends was DDing for the night and ended up driving with the parking brake on for quite a long time. THe parking brake is now completely used up and doesnt work at all anymore so I need to replace it. Service at the dealer will cost me almost $400, so I figure Ill do this one myself. In looking around online I see a few options for a replacement shoe. Infiniti Parts Online has what looks to be OEM replacement for $85, Auto Parts Warehouse has 3 options to choose from and all look like aftermarket brands ranging from $22.50 - $64.25. Does anyone know what difference there would be from a cheaper brand? To me it seems like they are all just parking brake shoe's and they will either keep the car in place when parked or it wont. So I dont understand how one brand can be $22 while another is $64 for the same thing. There has to be some difference I am missing right?

Of those, Centric is the one brand name I know and is a very popular brand and known to be good. So even though their replacement shoe is by far the cheapest, it still should be perfectly fine right?
