Parking Brake - loose?

hey this is not about modding or upgrading..

i just noticed yesterday when i rotated my tires that when i put the parking brake on... i dont know if its me or what... but before engaging the parking brake it seems a little loose... like u can lift the parking brake up an inch or two.. without feeling any resistance? i guess another easy way to describe it ... the parking brake lever can be jiggled? lol

someone try this or have experienced this?

Mines like that too.. Id assume its either just nothing to be concerned about (slack in the line)... or maybe its some sort of safety precaution?

ok ... i might try goin to the nissan dealership and checkin out a brand new AC 2.5 and 3.5 just to make sure.. hopefully they will have some 09's as well as 08's to see if there is a difference.

i compared the parking brake to my friends honda accord... and hers had virtually no slack or jiggle ability (Wow that sounds bad lol)

It;s supposed to be like that, just in case you accidently start to pull up on it you don't engage it. You don't "need" to pull the lever unless you are parked, correct?

It's fine the way it is. All of them come like this.

I have noticed mine is only really loose while in motion. When I am stopped it is tight.

Mine was like that too, but when i went to the dealership about my lights, they said the ebrake was too loose and they tightened it up. I dont think its normal so i would tighten it up

My 3.5SE is loose too but my sister's 2.5S is normal.
