Hi, folks!I'm really enjoying my 1991 Q and even the wife seems to be learning to live it finally.
A coupla things are happening, though, and I'm hoping for some advice, please:
- the parking brake warning light on the instrument cluster has recently begun staying on almost all the time, at least during fairly short urban drives. It would come on periodically before, but if I pulled the brake release handle it would go out. Now it doesn't. It doesn't seem to affect the performance (I mean it doesn't seem as if I'm driving with the brake on), but of course it worries me. Suggestions?
Also, I just noticed last night a kind of humming noise that comes, apparently, from the direction of the right rear, kind of near where the fuel filler point is. It doesn't seem stereo related, because it's still there when I turn the stereo off. Could this be where the fuel pump is and should I be looking into that?
Thanks, guys! You've saved my vehicle before (chain guides!), and I'm hoping your expertise can help me here, too.
Cheers, and Merry Christmas!
Jim
