Park/Nuetral Switch

Does anyone know what the "Park/Nuetral Switch" is? My ECU is throwing a code regarding it. Can anyone help me out here?Regards, Jason

it is what makes it so you can't start the car unless the transmission is in park or neutral. it's located on the auromatic shifter IIRC...
