My PBS took a dump and I was wondering if there's a place to get these besides the stealer? I imagine parts from the dealer are pricey. I've only had my 05 G35 for a few months now and it's the first problem I've had.

Welcome to NICO

Perhaps you can be more specific about what occurred?

Your vehicle may still be under warranty so it wouldn't hurt to visit your local dealer and inquire?

It never hurts to introduce yourself to the service manager and service writers. Dealer labor rates are what they are but being nice and pleasant can go a long way with them helping to assist you.

If it were the switch suppose a totaled G recently came it with a good switch. Sometimes a nice dealer will give it to you if you are nice to them.

Just my $.02

I'll definitely check on the warranty. Never even thought about that.

When I release the park brake the brake light on the dash stays on unless I pull up on the pedal itself. I looked under the dash at the switch and there's no adjustment.

$6.80 for the switch from that site plus almost $10 to ship. I'm going to call my local dealer and see what they get for the part.

thanks for the info

i doubt if your problem turns out to be that actual switch?

Do a search on this site for the shop mauual for your vehicle and locate the section that deals with the parking brake. I'm sure there is a simple adjustment to actuate that switch & send a ground to light the lamp when the parking brake is activated?

It is an adjustment.

If I were you, I'd let the dealer do the adjustment.

It is also possible that you may need brakes? How many miles on the car?

Thanks for the link. I actually just turned the switch slightly for better contact and the light is now working properly. The car only has 19K on it so the brakes are probably ok.
