I've had a small parasitic drain ever since I did my swap(rb20 in s14). If you let the car sit four or five days it kills the battery. Something strange that I noticed is that my 200sx has the same issue. The B14 has a jdm sr20de with a harness addaptor to run the jdm obd1 ecu. Is there something with the jdm ecus or the obd1 style plug that something is getting power all the time and I'm just missing it? I used wolfgangs wiring guide for the s14 and the instruction on roastedpavement.com for the b14. Any thoughts are appreciated.

yep its probably the wiring. i had a drain that i could not find, but with the help of a meter and fsm for the s13, i found that i had a bad bulb check relay. once i unplugged it the drain went away. check the electrical system to see if you have a short. tom

Most likely its a short somewhere. Start by pulling fuse with a help of a test light.

That's the thing, if it is a short, then wouldn't stand to reason that it has something to do with a difference in circuits between the two systems. Something I wired in, but not by sloppy wiring. Something that lets say is switched off by ignition of the on the older cars, but not on the newer.

Check what you tapped your "thick" white/purple stripe wire into... had the same issue when I first wired my latest RB20... had tapped into a wire other than the "thick" white... fixed the problem. Sits for weeks with no issues (stupid head gasket :oP)... I think it's the same for a S14... but I'll look... been a few years since I've done a S14 RB20 swap
