rb20 or rb25?

the pan on a 25 is pretty decently baffled. i had mine off a while back and was pleasently surprised.

and highest hp on bottom end thats reliable is also engine dependant. on a 25 id say no more than 400-450 RELIABILY without worry. not sure on a 20.

its goign to be a rb25, i just dont want the oil to slosh around and cause oil starvation, im going to shot for 400 rwhp, but im going to try and put it in a car that weighs arouns 3500 gutted so i was looking for decint power to slide suck a big car around. but this is all jsut hopes and dreams for now. jsut doing a lil research for now

If you aren't happy when you pull it off though, oil pans are easy to make! BTW I love your wheels, just picked up some!

all the weight is focused on the crossmember tho, the front weight is still transfered back down to between the wheels on the crossmember. there is a change, but its minimal.

a full vs empty tank of gas makes a bigger difference.

im shooting for Q45, i have to go back to mississippi to clean up some stome **** and when i get back i should be geting started on it. i want to do somthing different and im hopeing that this will be something that will stand out and like form and function put together. but i still love s13 and s14. but 4 doors are pimp sort of and its not going to be like slideing an s13 but i figure if i cant make a decint amount of power it will be alright. i dunno hope when i get back in 2 months or so i can get started on this. im jsut ding some research on what power plant i want and i tihnk I6 will be a good choice and sound badarce. as of right now i dont have the car or power plant so do get too excitied, thanks for all the info so far i will ahve more question when i get back but for now im going down their and wont have internet so that will suck. but im hope this will be a good winter time project.thanksWes

I'd recomend Venus Auto. They've gone way out of their way for me during my swap. Stay away from PSI Racing and Rims and Things though I doubt you've heard of them.

The stock rb25det oil pan comes nicely baffled from the factory. My buddy put down 485hp on our dyna packs on a stock engine & has no problems with it. He also beats the hell out of the car & it is very reliable.
