So I picked up my door panels Yesterday and today I tried starting gutting the doors. I don't have a camera right now and my cell phone wont send the picture to my email to show you guys something. But on my driver's door, there is something attached to the piece that needs cut off. there is a rod connected to the lock rod and looking at pictures I don't see any others with it. I believe it was part of the alarm that used to be in it.

I don't know if this project is too big for me or not, but since it started raining I guess I'll have to wait until Sunday and maybe get rid of my feeling of fear.

From what I've read you just need to cut off the pillar, the extension the door handle is attached to, the cupped washers that the door handle and the thing that held the belt spool used to bolt to, and remove some of the clips from the panel and I should be set right?

Search the forums, there is a thread specifically for it where a guy has repositioned the seat belts closer to the back seats. I think it is actually in the FAQ sticky up top.

also, I found it was a lot easier to just pick up coupe doors because the coup door panels did not fit properly on my convertible doors even with brackets cut off properly.

I had to drill about 3-4 additional holes and after fitment was still not correct on the passenger, I just picked up two coupe doors with power window insides, etc, and power door panels and put those on. It only cost me 100$ for both doors and panels but the hardest part was waiting for a deal like that. Patience man.

Also, if you search, I have a thread posted of what the insides of my convertible doors with panels and appropriate parts cut off. Look for topics created by me.

Found it for you: zerothread?id=293193

Scroll down a bit, you will see my passenger and drivers side door frames. After comparing them side by side with my new coupe doors, for 100$ I don't feel bad scrapping my old doors.

I was reading your post earlier today, but I never found out if they fit better afterwards. I have 3 s13's around me, but 2 have door damage, and the other one is gray.

I've had the belts mounted for a while now. I think I may just call around to some places and see who rents out angle grinders and have crappy fitting panels for now and go get some coupe doors and have them painted when the car gets painted next year and slap them on then.

Or I could see if the junkyard would take an even trade for my doors, and rock some 326 white roller painted doors for a year.
