panel removal tool

ok... so im doing a bunch of little jobs on the side of my actual job to make a little extra money... cutting lawns and helping my uncle with his rental properties, etc..... anyway...

ive been spending my extra money and buying tools with it (i cant help myself.... i hate going into sears tool section because i want it all)

i looked up panel removal tools because thats definitely an important tool when considering some of my future plans for my future car (august i hope).

sears sells a panel removal tool from KD Tools.... but heres my question... it says its for GM and other cars.... does this include nissan or will this work for the 300zx's?

the wording of that is very misleading. my guess is that its for american built cars. just a guess because i know foreign cars usually use the metric system where american use standard.

any other tools that are a must have for the DIY type. (i problably wont do most of my mechanical stuff... just keep myself to the interior)

Lots of rags, some extra wrenches... and having a plasma welder would be nice! Haha

Lost of screw drivers, 1/4" full metric socket set including extensions and swivels, zip ties, electrical tape, wire cutters...depends how much you plan on doing.I would highly recommend study up enough on this car to look after at least some of the mechanical maintenance your self, otherwise you have to have someone who can or deep pockets.

Plastic pry tools are handy for the interior panels. Got mine off the snap on truck.

sears tool department has taken a downturn in the past few years, still a great bang for the buck, but I've been buying a lot of SK from thetoolwarehouse.com, I've had got a few items for the tool trucks as well but you pay largely for the convienience factor, and I've had more problems out of a snap on ratchet than my old crftsmands, and the trucks can be stingy about honoring warranty, sears is still pretty good about their warranty

On the topic of plastic pry tools, I just picked up a top notch 5 piece matco pry tool set. On sale, 18 bucks. Who says tool trucks are too expensive?
