Panel lights

Hello to everyone am new here and am glad to join this web site. Ok heres my problem I have a Nissan 240sx year 1992 Automatic transmission my friend and I were trying to put a new estereo or sound system to my car and at all I can't for now own cuz I got to buy new cables and speakers. we were plugging the new radio and we didn't. The next day when I went out at night and I turn on the lights the outside lights were ok but the interior ones for the panel are gone now I have a dark cave on my car. I got to use a flash light to see what speed am going. I check all the fuse and there are ok. I really don't know what cause or happend this and I need some help here.

if you search there were a few recent topics about this... any way... i have a '90 with the same issue, i was told that there is a little white box in the driver kick panel near the fuses, cant remember the name, but that seems to be the culprit... as i am lazy, i just put a light on my steering column and a switch for it in the open slot next to the rear window wiper slot...

also, do your AC controls light up, or just the green lights when you push in the bottons, cause only my green lights come on...

Yes the same problem and how can I fix that thing? do its dificult ?

OK I was looking at the car just now and he has 2 white box which one is ?

the smaller white box closer to the door...

did you hook up the stereo wires correctly? don't use the illumination wires to hook up the aftermarket stereo.did u have a seperate ground wire from the aftermarket stereo to the chassis?

Yes I guess that I hook them correctly. When I install a radio I just find which one is ground energy then I plug them to the radio but in my car when I bought it he didn't bring the front speakers with the wires also rear ones. I just notice when I remove the cover from were the speaker belongs. Soo now I must buy new speakers. Also unplugging or plugging the wires unproperly can fuse that white box?
