Ok so like many of us I did not like my panel inserts that had been re-glued (spilled onto) re-stapled from the outside and looked like garbage. I completely removed the inserts -cleaned up the old and replacement glue staples and other junk used in attempting to refasten them.
Here are the pictures after completing the repairs -all I used was a airnalier with 1 1/4" brads -that mostly buried into the fabric then with a needle nose plier twisted the brad at the back and bent it over. You cannot see the brads from the front and they hold great even without twisting and bent over but you may as well have the extra hold - let me know what you think about this.

This is a completed rear panel -the air nailer allows you to use plenty of force to hold the insert in the correct place with the nailer nose before fastening.
