Panel console (sport button,etc) removal

Hi all, does anyone know how to remove the square panels on the bottom left from the steering wheel that has the buttons of sport mode, AWD lock, etc? It's a 2014 Rogue.

Looking to install a switch to turn subs on and off, but can't seem to figure out how to remove the "solid" switch panels.

If you look closely you will notice that section is a solid piece of plastic, meaning you have to remove to whole part below the steering wheel (it's called "Instrument lower panel "). I haven't removed it myself but a first glance shows a few screws next to the OBDII port and left and right.
Just make sure you get them all out before pulling.
