What can I do to get Pandora working on my andriod phone? I have a Samsung Skyrocket (basically a Galaxy phone with LTE)
The only connector I have in the center console is USB.

What are my options?

I read a comment from Joe603 where he said that a usb to a2dp bluetooth adapter will work. Am I correct here? If so how? I suppose I can marry the adapter to the phone on a pc first and then just connect it to the usb port in the console How is the quality? Does the music play on all speakers or just the front speakers? Anyone recommend a particular one?

Note: the usb connector in the center console is able to charge the phone and I can get it to play music stored on the phone.

I appreciate any info/advice.. Thanks!

The sound would be similar to hooking up the phone to USB directly. You probably just need to pair it using a default pin...so I don't think you'd need a PC. From the car's perspective, it just sees a USB connection.

Another possible option is using the RCA inputs (not 100% sure if the 2010's have this). Then you would just connect an RCA to phono jack on the phone.

Thanks, ill give it a try. I don't have RCA jacks so this will have to do. Can I connect a 2 port usb mini hub. That way I can charge on one and do pandora on the other?

I wonder if it would work. I'll try it too.

...not sure. You're getting all fancy now! But, I suppose of you set the USB to charge only it should work.

Joe,

I did not work. I had to return it. I got the Iogear Bluetooth 2.1 USB Micro Adapter with a2dp. I did not plug it in to a pc. I just opened the box and plugged it into the car usb port. The display said "Reading" then said no connected device.

It looks like its trying to mount it as storage.

What went wrong. Any thoughts? Is there a specific usb bluetooth adapter I should try. Maybe a firmware upgrade or patch that the dealer needs to do. FYI. I did plug in a usb flash drive and the car mount it fine. It said no song found since of course there was no music on it at the time.

Im not sure what else I can do at this point. I don't think an FM transmitter will be any good unless you can recommend one to try.

Thanks!

Not sure man...my 09 does not have USB. I'd try to connect the phone to it using a PC to see if it works that way, then try the car again.
