Alright all you leets out there, I have a request. I need someone to find me a place where I can download PalmOS 4.1 for my palm Vx. I wouldn't mind buying it from Palm directly, but they don't support the Palm Vx anymore....and I don't feel like upgrading to a new PDA when I have a perfectly good one right here.

Been a couple years, so I don't recall exactly, I just know it doesn't do anything could be as simple as my charger cradle isn't actually charging it, but I doubt that. I had it for more than 3 years, as I was 6 months out of the 3 yr warrantee when it died. I know it's a sealed case, but I figure there has to be some way??

I found it yesterday Jesda...after an evening of scouring the web. Gah what a search.

Now I'm looking for car management software. Any pointers?

Palm sucks... PocketPC is the way to go..

I have an Ipaq 3835 that I got 3 years ago and its STILL competes with today's technology...

However, it does have what I like to call the compaq virus... All sorts of crazy things start happening as soon as it gets out of the warranty period (it knows if you but extended warranties)..... My backlight is goofy, but I can play with it and get it to come on and its good all day.....

PPC>palm... I can sync my stuff right to my documents, open it in word...

I also have a keyboard and I take notes on it...

Any warez site that hosts m$ products;)

I really don't know...I don't even think Microcrap sells PPC 2004 software publicly.

The palm Vx has the be the most widely used PDA made from what I've seen.

Yup. My three or four year old one works just fine at the moment, although I have gone through about 3 or 4 styli (I like the spring loaded ones from http://www.landware.com - they work great, except they are a bit more fragile!) I don't need to spend any money to get the next whizbang one! :)

PocketPC is for communists and moral degenerates. Wes, for example!

I've owned so many Palm OS, CE, and Apple Newton devices. I'd have to say the Newton is the best, even to this day, while Palm makes the slickest devices.

The newton is just...so...big. The Vx is as big as I want a PDA to ever be.

A new PDA will be in the distant future from the looks of things, so I'm not too worried about upgrading by now. Maybe by then we'll have 1ghz processors in our pocket pcs

Yeah, the Newton's biggest downfall was it tried to be everything to everyone. Like, if you had a Newton 2000, why have a Powerbook? They cost nearly the same back then.

The original Newton Messagepad 100 was very small and sleek for its time, but Apple decided to go bigger and grander instead of smaller and sleeker.

I had a small web server running on my Apple Newton MP 110 back in 1997. :)

And the darn things are appreciating in value now.

It had a 233MHz Digital ARM processor I believe, back in 1998. Dont quote me on that.

My IPaq 4155 has become a glorified MP3 player. I used to use it when I was out in the field, but it does me almost no good. I recently upgraded to a 1 GB SD card though so I can store a hell of a lot of music. Between my 6 disc changer and the IPaq(w/tape adapter) I have access to quite a collection of music.
