I was thinking of painting the center of my dash, the Lid-C and D (around the radio and A/C controls) to match the silver on either side of the dash. The color code is an LW51. Anyone ever thought about doing this?

Can anyone photoshop it for me? I am worse at that than posting photos.

If it doesn't match perfectly and look factory, then it will be horrible and be dubbed as 'ricey'. I would get a piece of plastic to test how close to matching the OEM look before attempting.

To be honest, I would highly recommend against painting the interior. It is very hard to get done right and even if it is done right, the paint will still eventually start to show age and maybe even still flake and it'll look much worse than if you just left it alone. Trust me. You'll look back and wonder "why the hell did I bother trying to do that?"

^^^Damn my eyes hurt.

Horrible. Interior painting is just wrong. But that's just my opinion.

It depends on your prep and finishing. If you do it well, it'll look good. If not.....then you'll hate getting in your car everyday. Plus, at least for a few days/weeks, your car will smell like paint.

Take note everyone -- that is how to post an opinion.

What were you thinking of is a slam.

That's just ugly -- you're an idiot to do that is rude.

Horrible -- in my opinion states personal preference.

I don't like it works too.

Answering the question -- no matter how ridiculous you may think it to be [or not posting a comment] seems best to me.

but who am I and what do I know?

I did it myself. I got the spraypaint at ace hardware. just picked out a color and it matched perfect.
