painting sr20 block and head

im prepping my sr20 for paint, i bought some high temp 500 degree aluminum enamel for my block and head, do people usually just spray it on? or should i spray primer on first?

make sure to use a heavy degreaser and a wire brush, this gets all the 20 year old gunk off.

The poster below me, itd be easier to spot oil on a black block over aluminum?

y paint the alum block it not going to rust just clean it and leave it. its easier to spot thr oil leak that way
