hey guys, i just got my stillen lip spoiler, and side skirts and was wondering how much everyone got stuff painted for. particularly the side skirts. i direct this more toward people in so cal and LA and i was wondering if anyone in this area can direct me to someone/someplace in the neighboring areas that does a good job for a reasonable price. I've gotten the parts quoted from 2 different places, and they were $280 and $300 for just painting of the side skirts.

any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

I have a guy in moorpark, Ca that paints for cheep. Its a little bit of a drive, but I am sure he will hook you up. What color is your coupe, it kind of depends on the color for the price. Like the winter frost is a 3 stage paint so it requires more paint and work. He only charged me $120 to do my front lip and rear spoiler. If you tell me the color I will see what kind of price he can give you.

He paints every wednesday morning, and they are good to go buy wednesday afternoon.

I just called my buddy and left a message because he is at work. So when He calls me back I will give you a price. But I am pretty sure he will be alot cheeper than the place you got quoted. If I had to guess, I would probably say in the $250 range for both. Plus I could help you install them after they are done. I have all the tools, have allready done it myself, and I have a carpeted garage so you wouldnt haft to worry about scratching your front bumper when you are working on it.

The place I went to charged me 200 for the front lip spoiler and eyelids. However, he sanded them, prepped them, and sprayed them with the paint and clear. And he also installed everything.

I know that Infantry pretty much did everything himself except paint them. The guy I went to is here in Baldwin Park, let me know if you want his info and I'll go with you when you drop it off if you like.

Are you saying that you are leaving it the way you got it? No paint at all?

I would guess prime them as well, but if you don't know how then bring it to me and I will prime them for you or I will just make him do it. The part I would say you defenetly need to scrub them down like the instructions say, and lightly sand them to smoothen them out. Mine took a few extra layers of primer because I didnt clean them well enough. As soon as you put that first layer of primer on, you can see the spots you didnt scrub enough start to bubble up. So i let it dry and sanded those parts down, then put more primer on and repeated for about 4 or 5 coats.

P.S It took me about a can and a half of primer to do my front lip and spoler.

No prob, But yea he paints on wednesday. He said if you scrub them and lightly sand it just to get all the extra chemicals off, he will do $150. You can bring them down to me anytime and I will give them to him. He will paint them wednesday afternoon and you can probably pick them up anytime after 5:00pm. If this sounds ok to you. Just shoot me an email and i will give you my address and phone number.

P.S. I am at work, mon-fri 8:00 am- 5:00 pm

I'm going to have to get mine repainted because I ****ed it up. If the place I took it to doesn't want to re-do it for free, because I know they didn't paint it right because the paint cracked off so easy, I'll take a long drive to your painter and have him do it.
