After hearing about many people painting their grille black but keeping the logo chrome, I have gotten interested in painting mine. Along with that, I was thinking about my interior plastic. I have a couple of scratches on my door strips and near my shifter. How easy would it be to paint the center console pieces? I know that for the door pieces there is that little slot that you can put a knife in and they just pop off. Also, I am not sure if it would look weird if I left the door handles unpainted. What does everybody think about painting it all Piano Black? For those that don't know that color, its the shiny black that most flat panel TVs are.

before black i'd say carbon fiber. as for the center console, you'd have to didicate a lot of time since you'd have to remove a lot to just get at the center (to me it is considered a lot of work...) removing the glove box and upper glove box thing, arm rest area... I'd say painting it black would only work if your car is black too.

That's how I am starting to feel. It was more of a spur of the moment idea and I don't see it working. For people that have painted their grille, what type have they used and what was the name of the color?

The color is up to you, but here's a DIY that you can look at.

I appreciate that link. Also, as far as dash kits, I don't want the adhesive ones. I want the pieces with clips so that I can fully replace what I have right now. Does anyone know where I can get pieces with clips? I probably wouldn't want real carbon fiber as that would be pricey.

getting a whole new center console would be pretty pricey (considering my budget). a quick search and i came up with this site http://www.installer.com/item/...-7604. as for c/f console, i know ive seen one before but i just remember it was a lot of $$$. you'd be better off fabing your own, like an overlay type...

Painting interior panels can be hit or miss...unless you put some effort (sanding) into it.

I know someone who not only painted all the tan colored plastic in his car, but he had his roof re-upholstered with a black suede fabric. The whole interior was blacked out and it looked sick.

I definitely have gotten away from that idea because actually completing that project is too unrealistic (painting the panels, the above post is definitely too unrealistic haha). That being said, I will definitely black out my grill and am interested in painting my brake calipers. Can anybody throw out some good colors that would work with Caribbean Blue?
