Okay all here is my situation. I am working on getting my car ready for paint and ran into an issue. I was told by a local paint shop to get epoxy primer for my bare metal spots. But when researching today I found out that you are not supposed to sand the epoxy primer once applied. I currently have the trunk stripped because it was previously rattle canned by the last owner, the roof, and I went through and have all the dings and what not down to the metal. Should I just strip the doors and the rear quarter panels and spray the entire car with the epoxy primer or should I bondo my areas that need attention and rough sand it to the same as the current paint? Or do I also need to invest in a sandable primer? I can get some pictures also if that would help some. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.
