Painting engine pipes

After much consideration, I am looking into buying a swapped 240sx. However, a lot of those engine bays have conspicuous chrome piping and intercoolers. Would there be anything to worry about if I want paint all of it flat black? Chrome pipes set off cops. Thanks!
